Wall Spray Cellulose: Refining Your Insulation Machine and Process
We finally met with a long-time customer, Architectural Insulation, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Architectural Insulation specializes in wall spray insulation products. Using a CM2400, they sprayed 10s of thousands of bags of stabilized mineral wool in buildings over the years.
Unfortunately, loose-fill, stabilized mineral wool is currently not available. Word-on-the-streets is that it is coming back soon. Stabilized, commercial spray mineral wool is common in the South West region of Louisiana.
With the current lack of loose-fill mineral wool supply, Architectural Insulation moved over to stabilized cellulose. Using the same CM2400, this company wanted us to visit them to dial in their machine and technique to minimize the fall-off while installing.
Within an hour, this efficient crew was able to work together, in communication, to manually recycle material back to the hopper. Cellulose is no longer mounding up, but about ankle deep while spraying. That is the goal!
Thank you Architectural Insulation for your years of business! We enjoyed our visit and hope you have great success! We look forward to revisiting when you begin spraying mineral wool again!
