From Used to New: Helping a Louisiana Company with Wall Spray Equipment CM2400 Vacuum Recycling
Last year, we visited Talon Spray Foam & Insulation Services in Sulphur, Louisiana. They came across some used equipment and needed training on dialing it in for wall spray cellulose and fiberglass. Unfortunately, the blower was new and breaking down… with no support. Their pump was struggling with the pressures. Their spray nozzles were also defective.
What seemed to be a difficult situation, turned out to be one of the best training experiences we had. Here’s the main reason: dedicated, skilled, hard-working employees, who just needed some instruction. They were spraying well by the end of the training. However, their equipment was desperately needing some upgrades.
We made some recommendations and they purchased a CM2400 blower with a hopper extension that has openings for attaching a vacuum (Hopper Extension with Vacuum Hood). They also bought a new wall spray pump, wall scrubber and wall spray accessories. They rounded off their equipment with a CoolVac23 vacuum with a Cover Saver. This allows them to expand in the future with an 8” hose to remove insulation, including fiberglass batts when daisy-chained together with their other older vacuum.
Once they got the new equipment, we revisited them and found them to be excelling. No more down-time and working on the pumps. This crew is spraying daily!
We enjoyed visiting with Jed and his family, and his awesome crew, once again!
