Insulation Truck Setup with CM2400 and CoolVac23 for HVAC Company in Conejo Valley, California
March 2018, we flew to Thousand Oaks, California to help a HVAC company setup their truck and provide training in insulation removal and insulation.
How do HVAC companies benefit from establishing an insulation division?
HVAC companies are in a key position to offer insulation services as part of the entire package. Here are at least a few reasons why:
- HVAC upgrades improve the efficiency of the house’s ability to handle heat and cold. If there is a lack of insulation in the attic, all of that efficiency is being lost. As a HVAC contractor, you are able to add insulation to the attic to maximize the efficiency of air conditioners and furnaces.
- Ductwork seams bleed air into the attic. This loss of air is significant. Having an insulation removal vacuum will give the HVAC technician the ability to seal up the seams with mastic.
- As a HVAC contractor, you know the importance of ventilation. Adding ventilation to the soffit areas is important.
- Air leaks into the attics along the top edges of the interior walls and around can lights. After removing the insulation, you can foam the seams to prevent the conditioned air from escaping into the attic
This company, because they are in California, needed an insulation machine that can have long distances of hose. The CM2400 upgraded with 4 blowers, gave this company the ability to reach 400 feet without any loss of production or drop off at the end of the hose.
They added a CoolVac23 to remove damaged insulation. Along with the vacuum saver, this vacuum has the power to go longer distances as well.
