Converting a Hopper Extension to Recycle Wall Spray on a CM2400, On-site in Montpelier, Idaho
The most difficult part of wall spray cellulose is recycling. We have trained companies to manually recycle. That involves carrying cellulose back to the machine in a garbage can. A vacuum recovery of the recycle eliminates the need to do this. Cool Machines offers a vacuum recycling option for their CM2400.
Argyle Brothers recently purchased a CM2400 with a hopper extension. They are adding wall spray cellulose to their offerings. Since they already had a CM2400 with a hopper extension and a vacuum, they just needed the parts to convert their hopper extension so that it made a vacuum hood.
Brett Argyle, his father, and his son were ready to meet us in Bern, Idaho. Working together, we converted their standard hopper extension into a vacuum recycling unit within an hour. The parts consist of a lid, curtain, an inlet port, outlet port, and bag.
After converting the hopper, we drove to a job site to install wall spray cellulose. This customer already owned an IDI 18hp vacuum (Krendl branded for IDI). The vacuum was capable of returning the recycle to the hopper.
When using this recycler, the person loading the hopper needs to treat the material in a similar manner to recycling manually. That is, as the damp spray is being added to the hopper, the loader needs to add dry material in partial bales so that the dry can mix well with the damp.
We are thankful for Argyle Brothers and their business. We are confident that this family will be successful and this machine will serve them for a long time!
