On Site with a CM3500 Wall Spray Cellulose Vacuum Hood in Ripley, Mississippi
As we travel, we enjoy learning about our customer’s hobbies and interests. It’s not always just about insulation.
Our visit with Morgan Insulation was no exception. They breed champion Lipper Tree Walker Coonhounds. After dialing in their machine, Troy gave me a tour, showing me the dogs and puppies. I would have bought one on the spot but I know that the half-owner of my company (my wife) would not appreciate me bringing home a pet. Search for ”Lipper Tree Walker Coonhounds” on Google. They are fascinating animals. As their name suggests, they track racoons, but they also track bear and cougar. The bloodline of their Lipper tree walkers is quite pure. They are in high demand across the US.
The Morgans have been using a CM2400 for many years to do wall spray cellulose. With the CM2400 they were manually recycling. Their work is well done. Their spray was spot on. One of the sprayed walls in their house was left uncovered for about six months and the cellulose was perfect. It was fully stabilized, no gaps, nothing falling out of the wall.
If you do wall spray cellulose and manually recycle, you know the chore it is. It requires more labor and can be quite labor-intensive. I provided them a lead on this used equipment. They purchased a trailer outfitted with a CM3500, vacuum hood, and a vacuum. They asked me to help them dial in the process because it wasn’t quite fluid for them.
I found that their vacuum was a bit under powered so we had to creatively come up with a solution for the weaker vacuum to sufficiently recycle the material. It worked! The team was able to finish up the job in no time. The spray was flawless.
