A Race Car Trailer Makes for an Awesome Cellulose Wall Spray Unit
A race car trailer makes for an awesome insulation machine setup… only one downside. We visited Lance and his crew in Port Huron, Michigan. They recently purchased a slightly used wall spray setup. The machine sat for a couple of years as the previous owner turned his attention to spray foam.
Getting a good deal with a machine that sat is always a bit concerning. Lance already had the machine and pump running to make sure that all is well. The machine was taken care of, beautifully.
When on-site, we are always amazed with Lance’s attention to organization and his crew takes pride in keeping it that way. We started the machine and did some wall spray testing. After changing out the spray nozzle with new tips, we were able to spray well.
Unbeknownst to one of the sprayers, we timed him. He sprayed so well and so fast that he beat out those with years in the industry. This crew is well-trained.
Now, about the trailer. It has a strong tail gate with a dovetail (for loading cars). The trailer was also setup with tons of cabinets. That is a down-side. In order to get a lot of material into the trailer, these cabinets would be buried. However, the crew knows this limitation and will have the items taken out of the cabinets that they will need.
It is difficult to critique an awesome set-up like this trailer. Lance got a superb deal and the crew is running as efficiently as possible.
