Attic Queen and Her Quest for the Most Powerful Insulation Vacuum in the Kingdom
Once upon a time, Attic Queen (aka Jessica Azarelo), in Oldsmar, Florida found the perfect vacuum. She specializes in insulation removal. Doing attic insulation removals in Florida is not easy. The heat, difficult work and long hours can make this a very dangerous job. Attic Queen was spending days in an attic with a small vacuum, getting work done! She truly reigns in the world of insulators!
We have been following her posts for a while and noticed that someone was going to prepare an 23 horsepower vacuum for her. Knowing that she needed more power and performance, we introduced her to our CoolVac23 and CoolVac37. In fact, we orchestrated a demonstration of these vacuums. We met Andy, co-owner of Cool Machines, in St Petersburg, Florida with these two vacuums, powder-coated in her “Attic Green” color.
In one day, we worked with her and her crew to extract damaged fiberglass and cellulose from a 2,800 sq ft home. Because the CoolVac37 is very fast, filling vacuum bags in less than 6 minutes, we rented a dump trailer. We completed the job in one day.
Cool Machines offers large vacuums (CoolVac37 and CoolVac25Diesel) that extract a lot of insulation. The attic was filled with R-30 fiberglass, faced batts and a blown fiberglass.
These two vacuums are the most powerful and productive machines in the insulation industry. A couple of months later, Attic Queen placed an order for the CoolVac25 Diesel. She chose this vacuum due to the robust nature of the Kubota diesel engine. The vacuum was powder coated in “Attic Queen green.”
First, Attic Queen was using the diesel vacuum in the back of a box truck but quickly found out that she needed more ventilation and air flow. The 100 plus degree days, along with the cellulose dust, were taxing on her radiator.
Now, Attic Queen has the vacuum in an open bed truck and has a wand to keep the radiator clean so that the machine can run efficiently. She uses a large dump trailer and that saves time from having to switch bags.
As the story ends, we learn that what is most important is that her crew is now able to quickly set-up and extract from large attics in a day or less. The hot, difficult attics in Florida are a challenge. But thanks to the performance of the CoolVac Diesel 25, she is able to extract quickly.
And she extracted happily ever after!
